Happy 40 years of Phi Boota roota! What started as a small grassroots percussion fraternity in 1976, Phi Boota roota has grown to schools all over the country. Forty years later, PBr returns to its founding chapter at the University of Southern Mississippi for the 9th annual PBr National Convention. Making a surprise appearance, founding fathers Joe Evans and Connie Sprinkle witnessed the growth of the fraternity they started. They, along with the rest of the attendants, were audience to a percussion concert including timpani, marimba, and a steel band performance lead by USM’s Director of Percussion, Dr. John Wooton.
